More than 2,000 arrested for DWI
Enforcement agencies arrested more than 2,000 people for DWI between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve in 2013.
According to the DWI arrest information from Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s Office of Traffic Safety, 2,453 impaired drivers were arrested as part of the DWI enforcement campaign.
“The number of arrests made last month shows that too many of our drivers still make poor choices about drinking and driving,” Donna Berger, Office of Traffic Safety director, said in a statement. “Our goal with these enhanced enforcement campaigns is to keep our roads safer and encourage drivers to make smarter decisions.”
