KUTV anchor Shauna Lake arrested on suspicion of DUI

A Utah news anchor is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol after being stopped by a Utah Highway Patrol trooper on the freeway.

According to the probable cause statement, Shauna Lake was stopped on the I-215 South Belt near 1200 East just after midnight on Wednesday. The trooper pulled her over after noticing she was driving slower than the speed limit in the far left lane.

Former UF basketball player faces DUI charge‎


 — Former Florida basketball player Dan Werner was arrested and charged with DUI early Tuesday despite registering a blood alcohol content below the legal limit.
Werner, 23, was pulled over on NW 75th Street at 12:36 a.m. after an officer said Werner was driving with a tag light out and his high beams on. According to the arrest mittimus, Werner told the officer he was driving because his girlfriend was intoxicated.
Werner emitted an aroma of alcohol and had watery, bloodshot eyes, according to the report. He admitted to drinking two whiskey beverages. The report says Werner performed poorly on a field sobriety test and blew a 0.065 and 0.070 on the breath alcohol test. The legal limit in Florida is 0.080.
Werner was released from the Alachua County Jail on his own recognizance on Tuesday.
The former Florida forward played in 145 games for the Gators, averaging 4.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game as a senior in 2009-10.
