Woman charged with DWI in fatal accident

AUSTIN -- Austin police say a woman was driving drunk Tuesday morning when her passenger jumped out of her vehicle, hit his head and died.
Police were called to the Jack in the Box restaurant at Ben White Boulevard and Montopolis Drive in Southeast Austin around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers say a truck pulled into the parking lot and the passenger jumped or fell out while the vehicle was still moving. Paramedics took the man to University Medical Center Brackenridge where he died.
Police say the driver will be charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
