San Jose: Passenger dies in one-car crash, DWI suspected
SAN JOSE -- One person died, and another was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said, after a car crashed about a mile away from Highway 87 early Sunday morning.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the 3:35 a.m. wreck also was booked on suspicion of manslaughter after the crash on Branham Lane at Snell Avenue, according to San Jose police Sgt. Heather Randol. It was not immediately known what caused the crash or what kind of vehicle the person was driving.
