Police: Man charged with felony DWI after crash

LAKE GEORGE -- A Ballston Spa man was arrested Saturday night after he allegedly drove into another vehicle while driving drunk and fled the scene, police said.

Robert T. Oborn, 45, of Ballston Spa was arrested minutes after the 7:08 p.m. collision on Canada Street, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

Police were notified that a vehicle hit another and drove off, but no injuries were reported. Sheriff's officers and State Police responded and Oborn, the offending driver, was located, police said.

He was found to be intoxicated but refused to take a breath test, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Police said Oborn was charged with felony driving while intoxicated because he has at least one prior misdemeanor DWI conviction. He also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a non-criminal violation.
