N.C. wife, husband arrested for DWI at same stop
GARNER — The Garner Police Department's drunk driving specialist caught two fish with one line.
In an unusual traffic stop, Officer Scott Klein had pulled over a suspected drunk driver, and a second car then pulled up behind Klein. Ultimately both drivers – husband and wife –were arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired.
Officer Scott Klein had pulled over Sean Delamore, 49, at 10:40 p.m. on Feb. 7.
Another car pulled up behind him, causing Klein to have to assess the safety of the situation, according to police spokesman Chris Clayton. When Klein approached the car, the female driver told him she was waiting for her husband.
